1. General

What is TaskShift?

TaskShift is a freelancing marketplace. Through our platform, freelancers can sell their services to clients and clients can easily outsource their tasks to expert freelancers from all over the world. Please see our marketplace for available offers.

Why is there a need for such a platform?

We understand how tough it is for companies to find good and trusted freelancers to work with and pay high prices for services. Freelancers who are working with similar platforms must pay very high charges, and these charges are passed.

Our mission is to help companies grow their businesses exponentially by hiring the right, talented freelancers with affordable prices and freelancers to be able to keep 97% of their income.

What makes TaskShift better than other outsourcing platforms?

TaskShift is the most affordable online outsourcing platform. Our Membership is absolutely free for everyone. For our freelancers, we only charge 13% Project Commission on each successfully completed project. This is currently the lowest in the market.

With lowest rates in the industry, TaskShift is also enabling its partners to make more on each project and offer competitive prices to the clients.

How does TaskShift ensure payment security?

When clients buy offers, they deposit payments that are kept with us in an escrow account until the work is done. The client or the service provider cannot access those funds until there is a mutual agreement from both parties.

Is it safe of use TaskShift?

Indeed, we take the security and privacy of your data very seriously. Our data policy follows strict guidelines, and our infrastructure and application have high standards of security. We also do not save any of your payment details for any reason.

2. KYC (Know Your Customer)

What is KYC and why is it needed?

KYC stands for Know Your Customer. It is a legal requirement that refers to the verification process of the identity of customers/clients either before or during the start of doing business with them. KYC is done as a precaution against illegal activities like money laundering, bribery, or corruption. It helps the government and businesses keep track of such activities and avoid them beforehand.

Please note that you will not be able to withdraw any funds from your account if KYC requirements are not fulfilled.

What are the requirements for KYC?

Selfie (Colored)

  • Photo of yourself, with your entire face visible.
  • Remove any accessories such as glasses when taking your picture.
  • The photo should be well lit and in focus.
  • The photo of an existing picture or computer screen is not suitable.

Proof of Identity

  • Identification documents can be one of the following: ID card, passport or driving license.
  • The document should include a full name, date of birth, and a picture of yourself.
  • The photo should cover the full document and clearly show the required information.
  • The photo should be well lit and in focus.

Proof of Address

  • Proof of address document can be one of the following: bank/credit card statement or a utility bill.
  • Electricity, Gas, Landline, and Water utility bills are acceptable. GSM, TV/Satellite, Internet utility bills are NOT suitable.
  • The document should include the full name, address, document date, and name of the issuer.
  • The document should be issued within three months of the current date.
  • The photo should cover the full document and clearly show the required information.
  • The photo should be well lit and in focus.

Is there a general guideline for the documents?

Make sure to observe the following when submitting your documents:

  • Documents such as passports and licenses should not be expired.
  • Document details must not be handwritten.
  • Documents must not be altered or edited in any way.
  • The documents should be colored image scans or colored digital photos in high-quality resolutions. Photocopies and black and white scans, or photos are not acceptable.
  • Do not crop, adjust image colors, or alter the file in any way.
  • Both the front and back of an ID card must be submitted.
  • The files must be in the following formats: JPEG/JPG, PNG, GIF, or PDF. The file size should also be less than 100MB.
  • The image dimensions must be at least 500 x 300 pixels.

Submission of fake or altered documents will result in account closure and may lead to legal actions.

I am a new client; do you have any starting suggestions?

Thank you for choosing TaskShift, and welcome to our community. We would like to list out some key pointers so you can draw attention from the right partners and have a pleasant experience outsourcing your business processes.

Browse the marketplace. We have offers published in our marketplace from freelancers all over the world. It could be very overwhelming when browsing through so many offers. We suggest you browse to the category or search for the service you require to see all the relevant offers. 

Choosing an Offer. Before buying an offer, read carefully what is included in the offer and check reviews/ratings and the portfolio of the freelancer. This will give you an idea of what to expect when working with a particular freelancer, and it is very simple to compare services.

Communicate your requirements & budget. When buying an offer, make sure to communicate your requirements clearly to the freelancer and also that you have had a discussion about the price to avoid any surprises. You can have a discussion with multiple freelancers to get a market check before you decide on placing an order.

Allow enough time for offers. If your project is not urgent, do not rush and allow the freelancer to deliver quality. Remember that the top service providers are usually the busiest, so you might lose some of the top talents if you set the offer time too short.

How do you ensure the quality of your platform?

We take the quality of service providers and services very seriously. Giving reviews is mandatory after every project. It helps us monitor the service quality of every service provider. To maintain the highest standards of services, we remove service providers with 3 stars or below ratings.

To be equally fair with both the parties, we also filter out clients with 3 stars and below ratings.

How much does it cost to use TaskShift?

For clients using TaskShift is absolutely free. That means no membership or subscription is required. You only pay for services you buy and the usual payment processing fee.

What information would be displayed on my profile for the Service Providers to see?

As a Client TaskShift will display your City, Country, Amount Spent, and your Reviews with every project. Your real name, along with other personal details will not be shown on your public profile.

Would it be safe to share my Credit/Debit card details?

It is completely safe to use your Credit Card or Debit Card on TaskShift because we do not save any Credit or Debit Card information with us. Any such information is processed by our payment processor over a secured channel. This information is not visible to the team at TaskShift.

4. Freelancers

I am a freelancer. How do I join TaskShift?

Joining the TaskShift family is pretty simple! You can either log in via any of the social accounts such as Gmail, Facebook, and Linkedin, or you can create an account with a few simple steps. You have an option to view the marketplace as a client or a freelancer, which you can switch anytime.

How do I sell my services?

You can sell your services by creating "Offers" under "My Offers" menu. These "Offers" are published in the marketplace, where potential clients can view your offers and place orders. Additionally, you can share and promote your TaskShift “Offers” on social media.

How do I create an offer and submit it?

You can create ‘Offers’ via ‘Create Offer’ and then start adding the details that are required. You’ll be asked to provide a detailed description of the service you are offering and your charges for it. You are free to create up to three variations (Bronze, Silver & Gold) for every offer. After you’ve completed all the details, you can submit the “Offer” for admin’s approval.

How do I publish an Offer? When is my Offer published in the Marketplace?

Once your “Offer” has been approved by the admin, it will automatically be published in the marketplace. The Clients will now be able to see your services and place orders.

Is there a maximum number of Offers allowed?

You can create up to 5 Offers. Additionally, if your clients have special requirements, you can always create a custom order.

How much does it cost to use TaskShift?

We are the most affordable freelance platform. Our signup is free, and you do not pay for any offers. We only charge 13% of the project cost to cover our administration costs. It is a very small fee for the peace of mind you get.

I am a new freelancer; do you have any starting suggestions?

Thank you for choosing TaskShift, and welcome to our community. Clients are always looking for trustworthy and experienced service providers. Therefore, we suggest you use the best practices and make a good impression. It will increase your chances of acquiring more projects.

Do's and Don’ts of Creating Offers?


  • Right title for your offer highlighting your service.
  • Select the appropriate category for your offer.
  • Provide adequate details for your offer.
  • Highlight if something is not covered in your offer.
  • Attach thumbnails or relevant information from your previous orders.


  • Do not copy information from others for your offers.
  • Do not use fake portfolios.
  • Do not select the wrong category.
  • Do not share any contact information like email or phone in the details.
  • Do not write very lengthy descriptions as clients may lose interest.

How does TaskShift ensure that the freelancer gets paid for the completed job?

At the time of ordering, clients are required to deposit the amount into our escrow account. It offers protection to both client and freelancer, by giving them equal control over the funds. Only clients can create and release the payment but they cannot cancel the deposit without raising a dispute.

How do I withdraw my earnings and how long does it take?

Once your funds reach the minimum amount required for withdrawals, you can request them to be withdrawn from your TaskShift account. You can have them withdrawn to any of these methods.

We are constantly adding new withdrawal methods and will keep updating the list.

Steps to withdraw funds:

1. Click “Welcome {your name}” on top of the screen, select “Finance,” and click Withdraw Funds.

2. Select your preferred method to receive your earnings. The available payment methods and charges will vary from country to country. Wire transfers generally have a $25 processing fee.

3. Provide the details required for your selected withdrawal method.

4. Indicate how much you wish to withdraw. The minimum withdrawal amount is USD 25.

5. Click Withdraw Funds to submit your request.

6. For the first withdrawals, it takes up to 7 days to clear your account before your withdrawal request is processed. Subsequent withdrawal requests will be processed within 4 working days.
